What Patriotic Christians Can Do For America

Among the hundreds of email letters I receive, scores of them ask the same question: "I see the problem, but what can I do?" Today's column is an attempt to answer these people.

First, let's acknowledge that our Pilgrim forebears answered this question by leaving their homeland and risking their lives on a dangerous voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to a new world. There is no doubt in my mind that conditions in America today rival those of the ancient Pilgrims in Europe. (They are probably worse!) Obviously, there are no new worlds to settle, but I do know of people who are relocating to other countries for reasons very similar to those of our Pilgrim fathers.

However, what can those of us do who plan to stay and "tough it out" in America? Are we totally without recourse? Is there nothing we can do to truly help turn the ship of state around?

Let me begin by stating some things that will have very little impact on much of anything.

Continuing to vote for the majority of establishment candidates from both the Republican and Democratic parties will accomplish nothing. Voters have been changing the composition of their various and sundry elected offices for decades, and nothing has changed. The country continues to plummet down the proverbial slippery slope.

Attending the average church in the United States will produce little salt to protect against the forces of evil which currently seem to dominate our country. Regardless of denomination, most churches today refuse to address the crucial, salient issues that would educate and inspire people to make a difference.

Neither will listening to the major news media, including Fox News, prepare one to be a difference-maker. With very few exceptions, the major TV newscasts and radio talk shows are regurgitating the same redundant propaganda.

So, for those of you who really want to do something that will prepare you to make a difference in your country, I offer the following suggestions.

If you are a Christian, do your best to find a church where the pastor knows what is going on and is not afraid to teach and preach politically incorrect Bible truth. How far one might have to drive should not be a factor. Neither should denomination be a factor. Obviously, one cannot compromise fundamental convictions, but I would far rather worship in a church outside my denominational preference where the pastor was a bold and courageous champion of truth than stay in the denomination of my preference and sit under a milquetoast preacher. If one is not a Christian, he or she should become one and find this kind of church.

Our country's problems are, first and foremost, spiritual in nature. Therefore, solutions will ultimately never be discovered inside the halls of Congress; rather, they will be found in the hearts and lives of God's people. "Judgment must begin at the house of God." If enough people would leave these panty-waist, compromising, entertainment-evangelism, prosperity-theology, "purpose-driven" social clubs and start supporting true tell-it-like-it-is men of God, we could see a genuine revival in America.

Secondly, begin educating yourself. Stop relying on the major news outlets to bring you the news. I heartily recommend the New American Magazine. In my mind, it is the best news magazine out there. I also find Human Events newspaper very informative, and Middle American News is another good one. There are several smaller, independent papers out there, too. For example, in the Greenville, South Carolina area, the Times Examiner is an excellent resource.

Internet news sites such as News With Views and World Net Daily are also valuable sources of information. Read everything Jerome Corsi writes. Get on Congressman Ron Paul's mailing list. Everyone should subscribe to Howard Phillips' "Issues and Strategy Bulletin." It is a fantastic resource! For educational matters, read John Stormer. John Eidsmoe is as good as they get regarding constitutional issues. For a thorough and in-depth study of economics, read Don McAlvany.

Find non-establishment or independent radio talk shows. People such as George Putnam in California, Barbara Jean Whiteley in Utah, Stan Monteith in Colorado, and Adam McManus and Alex Jones in Texas come to mind. Alex is tough to take, sometimes, and I'm not sure I subscribe to everything he says, but at least he is in the fight and not afraid to take on the hard issues.

Joel Skousen's web site is a treasure-trove of useful information. Christians will, no doubt, enjoy David Alan Black's web site. Covenant News might be the best web site regarding pro-life issues. Alan Keyes and Tom DeWeese also have excellent web sites. For family resources, I recommend Doug Phillips' Vision Forum. One should definitely receive Phyllis Schlafly's newsletters. Pat Buchanan is an author and political commentator worth reading and listening to.

Thirdly, get involved with likeminded patriots. Hook up with your local John Birch Society. Join Larry Pratt's Gun Owners of America. Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership is another terrific pro-Second Amendment organization you should be familiar with.

In addition, I recently left the GOP and am now proud to be identified with the Constitution Party. I recommend the CP to my readers. I also like what Jim Gilchrist is doing with the Minuteman Project. Congressman Tom Tancredo deserves our support, too.

Fourthly, never discount prayer. God's true champions have seldom, if ever, been a majority. Throughout history, God has used a small number of faithful and courageous Christian soldiers to accomplish His divine will. He can still do so.

If everyone reading this column would sincerely and seriously be willing to change their affiliations and associations, would endeavor to personally educate and inform themselves with the truth, would endeavor to not knowingly support organizations and individuals that contribute to the compromise of our national sovereignty and independence, and would be willing to fervently and faithfully pray for America, there is no telling what may result.

So, what are you waiting for? Get busy!

Smiley Flag Waver I was reminded of the utter foolishness of the Anti-Defamation League's direct instigation and massive push to get Congress and states of the Union to pass "hate crime" laws. Of all people, Abraham Foxman and his colleagues should be the first to condemn such Nazism because that's exactly what "hate crime" laws are; I wouldn't be surprised to see the next push by the ADL being "thought crime" laws. It is exactly this type of suppression laws that allowed Adolph Hitler and his mad henchmen to take power in Germany. National ID under Department of Homeland Security? May as well be Department of Der Fuehrer's Motherland. Everything Hitler did was "according to the laws" of Germany at the time and the people walked right into the trap. First, by giving up their guns for the "good of the community," and second, by going along with silencing the people by bastardizing their existing laws - for the good of the Fatherland.

The voluntary National ID, which most Americans think is mandatory thanks to the lackeys in the media, must be challenged by the states straight to the U.S. Supreme Court.

THE POWER OF ONE

"One man with courage makes a majority." So said President Andy Jackson, a true lion of his time.

One can also be a lonely number when a person feels overwhelmed by events. But, one can also be glorious and let me give you a few examples where one became so many.

Jodi Waters was one when she began blowing the whistle about the dangerous gas by-product called MTBE. During the seven year long battle to get MTBE banned, Jodi, as one, became hundreds of thousands. I know because I was a participant in that effort out in California - a huge state for such a grass roots effort on a shoe string budget. Jodi's efforts triumphed over the behemoth oil companies because one became hundreds of thousands of Americans all on the same sheet of facts and effective activism. We won.

When Bill Benson did his exhaustive research which uncovered the fraudulent ratification of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments, it started as a lonely mission in dusty basements of old state buildings. Then he was one. But, one became hundreds, then tens of thousands and then hundreds of thousands because his research documents obtained at the state archives was spread from one to another one to another one.

In two weeks, Christians around the world will celebrate the birth of Him, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The one who had to die a horrible death so that we could be forgiven our sins in the eyes of God. Jesus was one. As has been said and written millions of times over the past two thousand plus years, this one man did not go to college, He didn't write books, He didn't own a house full of servants. He came into this world to deliver the word of God and to suffer our sins. One man changed the world forever because the ideas he brought to those who listened with their hearts became hundreds, then thousands, then millions and billions.

One is a powerful number.

There is one other person few know of by the name of Sophie Scholl who lived in Germany under Hitler and The Third Reich. She was involved in distributing The White Rose Leaflets. Her story is a powerful memorial to those throughout history who chose their conscience over cowardice. One student became two, two became ten and the numbers multiplied as did the message they sacrificed all to bring to fellow students. Sophie Scholl: The Final Days is a compelling movie that brings the power of one straight to the heart. There are no bare boobs, sex acts or the 'F' word in this spell binding recreation of what life was like under the Nazi regime, but it is a movie that will move you. I hope it will frighten many.

I want you to watch Sophie Scholl: The Final Days some evening after the children are in bed and it's quiet. I want you to think about those innocents asleep in the next room and imagine living under an iron fist as the people of Germany did under Hitler: No free speech, forced National ID, no habeus corpus, kangaroo courts and instant execution. This movie will chill you to the bone and I hope will awaken one more American to the dark future facing US. Only those in selective denial are unaware of the eminent death of this republic. The fight by we the people that must be fought has to kick into over drive after the holidays or we will perish in the flames of totalitarian government. This is not a welcome message this time of year, but it is a necessary one.

The Patriot Act, the provisions of the Military Commissions Act and John Warner Defense Authorization Act - all must be nullified; that's just the short list. Active military and local law enforcement need to get the truth about the true agenda of the shadow government's "war on terrorism." Local law enforcement has been gradually morphing into para military organizations with an unhealthy attitude towards the common man. The invasion by Mexico must be stopped, NO amnesty, round up the illegals and get them deported or America is doomed as a nation and if you think I'm just blowing smoke on this one, I respectfully direct you to Frosty Wooldridge's continuing series on this issue.

The dominant media (Fourth Estate), both print and electronic (including cable), has become a worthless, pathetic institution. Today this so-called "mainstream" or dominant media apparatus is filled with nothing but sycophants, intellectually lazy robots and opportunists. As a collective body it worsens with time as truth is squashed by politics instead of sounding the alarm. What can one person do to get the truth out to our fellow Americans? As those courageous students did with the White Rose Leaflets and the colonials who birthed this republic so long ago, we can still use the power of the press by becoming the press. Certainly we have become that thanks to the Internet and personal computers, but it's not enough because tens of millions of Americans don't have PCs, they don't know where to look for credible information on line or because of work and family obligations, don't have time. These same Americans will catch some manufactured "news" in the evening on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC or FOX. Some will read a few stories from the local newspaper which is just the same regurgitated baloney pumped out by AP or Reuter's. No, what we need is an efficient, simple and inexpensive method for one to become thousands and tens of thousands and millions.

I have a new section on my web site titled Flyers. The first couple are up with more to come. We the people can become like a local newspaper by printing a master of any of the flyers, making ten, twenty or a hundred copies and getting them out. So many Americans feel disenfranchised and beyond frustrated because they don't know what they can do to help; work, commute and family eating so many hours. Money is in short supply and getting shorter. Flyers are cheap and it doesn't take much effort. While my mom is 80 years old and can't do a lot in the way of activism, she will get 100 of each from me to drop off at the senior center. Mother wants to do this for the cause. She is one, but will reach 100. Newspapers throughout this country refuse to sound the alarm, but we the people can do it through flyers. Paper the country with the truth instead of communist propaganda on the editorial pages of America's "news" papers. Americans will read a well done flyer and begin to wonder why their local newspaper isn't exposing the truth. The colonials did it and they only had the most basic of printing presses. But, one pamphlet became two and multiplied so fast, the British couldn't stop them. Should we do less?

There's no charge for this service. I am happy to make these flyers available to everyone so that each one can become ten, a hundred, a thousand. Forget e-mails to Congress; they are buried in hundreds of thousands of them every month. Same thing with state legislators on a slightly smaller scale; remember many state legislatures are only in session the first few months of the year. Mail them a flyer; snail mail gets opened and read for distribution. I remember the scene towards the end of the movie, Braveheart, where the Princess of Wales visits William Wallace in the dungeon. She cries and tells him he will die unless he swears allegiance to Longshanks. Wallace replies that all men die, but not all men really live. Will we live on our knees or really live for the noble cause of freedom? Are we not a warrior class?

In an atheistic and philosophically materialist society, living a righteous life is a quaint relic of a discredited past; one must focus on personal consumption, financed by credit cards, confident that the Federal government must and will take care of us no matter how profligate or debauched we may be.

Whenever society strays from God's will and worships wealth, personal power, and sensual gratification, disaster is not far away.

A Divided Nation Without God

We are no longer "One nation under God." The destructive blows of liberal-progressivism since the 1930s have increasingly left us a disunited, spineless rabble.

The urgent readiness of the majority of voters to pull out of Iraq, regardless of the consequences, is the expression of a nation that no longer has core beliefs and faith in itself. We refuse to fight for our national rights and our survival, preferring groveling, making-nice to other nations, to get their approval.

Liberal-progressive spokesmen like Senators Kennedy and Kerry declare that gaining the approval of other nations via the UN should be the objective of our foreign policy. Supreme Court Justices declare that we must turn away from the Constitution to laws of other nations for guidance in deciding cases before the Court. Laws to make English the nation's official language are denounced by liberals as racism. Politicians on both sides of the political aisle perceive no danger to our survival in the overrunning of the Southwest and the West Coast by Hispanic illegals who have no intention of Americanizing themselves, and by immigrants who openly declare their intention to become the majority and vote to secede from the United States.

This sort of craven surrender of national tradition and pride is not unprecedented. It started in Europe in the 19th century.

There is very little of Friedrich Nietzsche's thought that can be taken seriously. But his appraisal of the jellification of European culture in the late 19th century is an exception.

In "Beyond Good and Evil" (1885), speaking of the ethos prevailing in Western Europe (what we witness today in the United States as a cultural war between Judeo-Christian traditionalists and liberal-progressive, atheistic materialists), he wrote:

There is a point of pathological hollowness and over-indulgence in the history of social groups where they even side with those who harm them, with their criminals -- and they feel this way seriously and honestly. Punishment seems somehow unfair; at any rate it is certain that the idea of punishment, of having to punish, hurts the group. It creates fear in them. "Isn't it enough to render them harmless? Why punish on top of that? Punishment is frightful!" ... Anyone who tests the conscience of today's Europeans, will pull the same imperative out of a thousand moral folds and hiding places, the imperative of herd-timidity: "We desire that someday there shall be nothing more to fear." Some Day -- the will and way to that some-day is everywhere in Europe today called "progress."

In this one can recognize today's liberal-progressive preoccupation with "sensitive" foreign policy. Common sense in the past informed us that it is better to be respected, or even feared, than to be held in contempt. Liberal-progressives move in the opposite direction. The object of liberal foreign policy is not protection of our vital national interests, including survival itself, but being liked by socialist governments around the world. That necessarily means that we cannot make our own foreign policy; the UN, led by thugs like Hugo Chavez, will do that for us.

In Nietzsche's description of the 1885 climate of opinion in Europe, we also can see foreshadowing of the pathetic myth that a world government by socialist intellectuals and technicians, the UN, will remove all reasons to fear aggression by other nations and other cultures. Liberal-progressives remain steadfast in their faith, in the face of repeated disappointment, that socialism is the gnostic path of progress to perfection of humanity. At the end of that gnostic path government will wither away, and we will find ourselves in the Garden of Eden.

Nietzsche continues: Anarchists in 1885 were savagely antagonistic to this liberal faith in "progress" ... and even more to the bungling philosophasters and brotherhood-visionaries who call themselves Socialists and desire a "free society" -- but in actuality the anarchists are of the same breed, of the same thorough and instinctive hostility against any social structure other than that of the "autonomous" herd (they go so far as to reject the concepts of "master" and "servant" -- [Neither God nor Master] is one of the Socialist slogans) ...

. . . they are one in their faith in the morality of commonly felt compassion as though this feeling constituted morality itself, as though it were the summit, the attained summit of mankind, the only hope for the future, the consolation of the living, the great deliverance from all the guilt of yore -- they are all one in their faith in fellowship as that which will deliver them, their faith in the herd, in other words, in "themselves" ...

Nietzsche could easily have been describing today's "educated" young people coming out of our colleges and universities, having been thoroughly inculcated with the anti-American, atheistic, and philosophically materialistic religious views of the Vietnam War Baby-Boomers who infest academia's professoriats.

As many other observers have noted, our short-changed young graduates have been led to believe that universal indulgence in narcotics, sexual promiscuity, and rebellion against the nation's founding traditions constitutes individuality -- Nietzsche's herd-mentality. Conformity to the latest media-communicated fad in dress, entertainment, and social justice ideas is "individuality." Worse, the media bombard us with images of youth, turning society into an immature juvenocracy that worships only that which is novel and consciously rejects the wisdom of experience in past ages.

Nietzsche's "commonly felt compassion as though this feeling constituted morality itself" is the doctrine enunciated by Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. -- truth is whatever wins out in the public market, whatever viewpoint the media can create in the minds of the majority of citizens.

In this scene there is no place for Judeo-Christian morality and principles of self-reliance, hard work, and saving for the future. There is no basis for, or even thought given to, the Constitution's Preamble:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

It’s a tricky process to bring fascism to a nation with a tradition of individual rights, and its concomitant, self-motivation. If you live in a nation that combines initiative with orneriness, you may as well save your secret dream for your grandkids. A people who balk when the government tells them what to do, when that "what" is genuinely good for them, leaves little hope for the fascist. Better luck next century.

If the people around you are becoming complaisantly obedient, however, things are looking ripe. There’s no more tractable whipped dog than one who asks for regularity in the whipping schedule. If you hear your neighbors seriously wonder who’s going to tell them how to vote, then you’re laughing.

Want Fascism In Your Country?

Here’s Your Import Guide

Have you become convinced that the only way to improve the moral and/or physical status of your country is to get the State to whip everyone into line? Do the defenses of individual rights and individual freedoms leave you feeling both bored and resentful? Are you daring enough to contemplate a nation where no-one does anything except what he or she is told by government officials, and find it to your liking? Are you inclined to dismiss defenses of freedom as mere apologetics for license and/or anarchy?

If you got through the above series of questions with all "okay"s, then you may very well be a fascist. A fascist is someone who affirmatively believes what question three asks about. Given that the military is the only way to keep such a system together, it’s a short leap of practical logic to conclude that military dictatorship is the only way to keep the populace in line. There have been experiments in democratic fascism during most of the last century, but the historical record does indicate that there is something inherently contradictory between fascism and democracy. The State seems to run more smoothly, not to mention efficiently, when the people aren’t consulted in a substantive way. Show elections, of course, are an option, but the representatives have to have their wings clipped to keep them mere windbags. This last point is important to remember.

What do you do once you’ve got the in-signal? Here, for your contemplation, is a quick guide on how to move your country’s government -- whups, "your country" -- to fascism:

Promote wholesale nationalization of industry while having no fallback plan for the resultant economic chaos that this spree will engender. This is the most reliable method to "go fascist." Because such nationalization leads to "planned chaos," it will quickly be discovered that the industries in question have to be de-nationalized pronto in order to keep the economy from collapsing. If you think that the economy’s collapse will be good for the moral fiber of the people, I’m afraid you’re reading the wrong sales pitch; you’ll have to wait for the one on socialism.

If you find it odd to bring fascism by promoting socialism, you evidently lack the cunning needed to be a successful political operative. Shame on you, and pay attention: by filling the heads of your fellow citizens with an impossible political dream that you yourself don’t believe in, you’ll shoot your competitors right down. Just make sure that you’re ready to plump for what you really believe in when the embarrassing backtrack is enacted.

Always remember: what makes socialism the most excellent running dog for fascism is not its end, but its means. People use even impossible ideals as guides to action; socialism, as a guide to action, entails hogtying every legitimate business that’s out there. What better way can you come up with to make the traditionally unruly business class grateful for the State’s leash? And the best part is: by letting the socialist do your sapping work for you, you can pose as being "pro-business" while it happens! You don’t even have to take off your white gloves!

Unfortunately, von Mises’ Socialism, despite its thoroughness and rigor, has acquired an unexpected popularity amongst the general public. Tragic this is, but the most sure-fire way to bring fascism to your State is unfortunately not do-able in our time. I’d better put this idea back on the table.

Promote "open-ended" guarantees of cold cash from the State to citizens. Believe it or not, this one works just as well as the first one; it just takes longer to work its magic. Open-ended commitments, like government-guaranteed health care, have a magnificent budget-busting potential. The bigger the mandated deficit spending, the better. Comprende, mi amigo?

Unfortunately, bills have to be paid, eventually. Eventually, the interest payments the government will have to make, to keep the guarantees a’flowing, will put a rather large crimp on the government’s budget. This is the point when the fascist option comes into its own. What better time to scoff at rationality when rationality implies "we have to pay for yesterday’s deficit-driven exuberance?"

More to the point: in order to keep the As We Go Marching fox-trot on a semi-even keel, impromptu financial fiddles will have to be relied upon. What better way to prepare the populace for the much simpler means of plunder-thy-neighbor for the remedy of budgetary embarrassments? Even better, any old-style conscientious citizen, who takes his or her civic duties seriously, is going to find it mind-numbingly confusing to figure out what got spent where, once these fiddles become normalized. This mind-numbing is almost as effective as the one that a citizen eager to abide by "the law," one who ends up plowing through the socialist-encouraged proliferation of regulations, has to endure in the regulatory state. And, as a bonus, such financial fiddles are just as unsupervised by the legislature as those proliferating regulations, if not more so! When you live in a country whose legislature is undercut to this degree, it’s only a short step to "Potemkin elections."

Passivity Is Your Noisy Friend. Unfortunately, many options that seem to be the magic solution have a notoriously vulnerable underbelly: they can be vitiated by citizens taking active steps to counteract them. A guarantee of health care forever loses its budget-wrecking potential if a bunch of yahoos decline the more expensive treatment and take their chances with the cheaper remedy. The trouble is, any such yahoo can justify taking this option through old-style patriotism, of the community-chest kind. Perhaps the same kind of yahoo can save for his or her retirement rather than depend upon the government’s retirement "fund." If the government pension plan is already in a crimp, said yahoo can squirrel money offshore and even justify it patriotically. There are, indeed, sneaky ways of being patriotic in this way: the fellow who’d rather starve on welfare than take a much more lucrative government grant is an underminer in his or her own way.

Yes indeed, this is the blind spot of all plans to bring fascism to your homeland. The general public may take matters into its own hands. This is why so many attempts to promote fascism through appeals to super-patriotism have fallen into ruin. Super-patriotism can also mean going out of one’s way to ease the burden on one’s fellow taxpayers, and upon one’s government. Taking this option leads to the cultivation of obstreperous habits, such as acting on one’s own recognizance.

Passivity works much better. In fact, it provably does. The kind of new Republic most vulnerable to fascism is one whose people have been freed by foreign conquest, rather than being freed through domestic exertions. The latter course of development means that the citizenry have already developed the habits of self-government. The former course means that they haven’t, and don’t quite know what they entail. It’s a useful fact that merely reading a diet book, no matter how rigorously, does nada for your weight. It’s an even more useful fact that reading "Get Active!" does nothing for your activity level. It won’t, until you get the gumption to make the inevitable mistakes that accompany getting active. You also need the necessary will-power to overcome the atrophy of your initiative, if the passive lifestyle has been for ye up to now. As long as the free will is lacking, "Get Active!" may as well mean "Do As I Tell You!"

Christian Peace Movements Are "Of The Devil." If fascism is your goal, remember this well. Any peace movement that goes out of its way to treat military personnel as if they were human beings too, is likely to result in reciprocal respect from the military. Mutual respect will result in an alarming number of veterans, and even of active-duty personnel, believing seriously that a state of peace is a better way to be than a state of war, even war for conquest and glory. Once the military is full of peace lovers, the fascist dream is dead, dead, dead. What good would it be to present promises of glory and conquest to a group of soldiers who have little use for either? Even if all the factors are in your favor, this one is the killer.

Christian pacifists are most notorious for this kind of undermining, but don’t put it past the others.

There are many other details and tips that can be supplied, even by me, but these four are reliable enough to get you off to a good start.

Oh, that’s right, I forgot. Lest you be accused of rank hypocrisy, you will have to cultivate the same passivity that’s your "in." Sorry.

Restore Values To America's Self-Government

Smiley Flag Waver Over the past forty years the American public has silently and steadily lost touch with the past. In this Age of Information, we are embarrassingly ignorant of our roots. As a wise man once said, “those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.” As America spins in circles am I the only one who feels dizzy? Our children will be the one’s to pay the price.

Unless we are willing to build bridges across racial and denominational walls, the Church in America will continue to appear powerless to stem the tide of debauchery sweeping across this land. REBUILDING THE WALLS

There is a great deal of talk these days about tearing down the walls that divide the Church. Unless we are willing to build bridges across racial and denominational walls, the Church in America will continue to appear powerless to stem the tide of debauchery sweeping across this land. If we love our country, our children, and our Lord, we must lay down our swords against each other and focus on a unified effort to restore Biblical values to this great experiment in self-government.

Just as important as tearing down walls is the need to rebuild some that we have allowed to crumble. Isaiah 58:12 “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.”

A friend of mine who works in the construction business once told me that reconstruction is harder than new-construction because of the tearing-down process that has to take place before the old foundation upon which you have to re-build can be exposed. The average American citizen no longer has any idea about the old foundations of this country. Most Christians are so heavenly minded, that they are no longer any earthly good. We have become savorless salt, filling our shakers with “seasoning” from the world.

Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Since I have been writing and absorbing the regular feedback from those who read my commentaries, I have been becoming more and more aware of the dearth of understanding amongst Christians as to what is really happening to our nation. The post-WWII assault on Truth, our Constitution, and our Faith, especially in our public education system, has left the foundations of America cracked and crumbling. Too long content with sticking my thumb in the dike every time a tyrannical court makes an abdominal ruling, I have come to the realization that America has far more ignorance than I have thumbs. I have decided to make better use of my hands by grabbing a hammer, some nails, and begin to rebuild the wall.

For over 6 years I have been visiting churches, men's groups, youth groups, and schools, trying my best to make the argument that Christians must engage the culture. It is only during the last few months that I have come to the conclusion that men and women will not stand and fight simply because of "a lack of knowledge.” Part of the unwillingness to speak up comes from a woeful ignorance of the past. We don’t know enough to defend our position.

Over the past couple of years I have dedicated myself to a study of the American history that I deemed irrelevant during my high school daze. When I was sued by the ACLU for praying I knew in my heart that I had a right to pray with our team, but I had no legal basis for my belief. How could praying be against the law? Didn’t the First Amendment, the one bit of the Constitution I remembered, guarantee me freedom of religion?

I dove headlong into history and was amazed at what I found.

At a recent presentation I was making in Illinois, I made the comment that one of my attorney friends had told me that he had never read the Constitution. He explained that all he'd studied in law school were court decisions…what judges had said about the Constitution. In all of his law school classes, not one was a study of the Constitution and the original intent of the Founders.

After my presentation was over that morning, both a local practicing attorney (who was a former prosecutor), as well as a currently-seated judge who was running for re-election, confirmed that they too had NEVER READ THE CONSTITUTION! Is it any wonder our legal system is a mess? Our law schools teach lawyers to study the unconstitutional opinions of other misinformed judges! Instead of stare decisis that is Scary Decisis!

No matter how hard I tried to convince Christians that we had been duped by the courts, most had become convinced that the “separation of church and state” was in the Constitution--and most assumed it was written in the Bill of Rights. I have been working diligently to spread the truth every time I had the opportunity to speak. I have recently come to the realization that I don’t have the time, nor the invitation, to speak in every church in America. But I am driven to get the word out.

I have created a Powerpoint presentation that I use when I teach. Taped in a church, the one hour sessions are powerful and truthful and open the eyes of people every where I carry the message. My high-energy presentation, supported by documentation, is equipping with the facts those who are willing to learn about the coup that has taken place in America. We must re-educate ourselves or we will never be able to save the Republic. I am not an attorney, but I can read! What part of Congress shall make no law don’t you understand? Do we need a misinformed attorney or judge to explain those five words to us?

I am making these presentations available online to those who would like to help spread the Truth. I have done all of the work, gathered the information together, and presented it in a way that is sure to inspire you.
