Illegals Become Repeat Criminals

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION & POLITICAL CORRUPTION / DEMOCRAT & REPUBLICAN IMMIGRATION POLICIES PERPETUATE INCREASED CRIME BY ILLEGALS IN U.S. CITIES

Washington Times

Smiley Flag WaverOf the 100 selected aliens, 73 had an average of six arrests each after being released from custody. They were arrested, collectively, 429 times on 878 charges, ranging from traffic violations and trespassing to drug crimes, burglary, robbery, assault and weapons violations.

Investigators identified an official "sanctuary" policy for two jurisdictions that received at least $1 million in SCAAP funding: Oregon, which received $3.4 million, and the city and county of San Francisco, which received $1.1 million and has designated itself a "city and county of refuge."

The audit defined "sanctuary" as a jurisdiction that may have state laws, local ordinances or departmental policies limiting the role of local authorities in the enforcement of immigration laws.

Illegals Become Repeat Criminals

~ By Jerry Seper
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
January 9, 2007

Criminal aliens set free on the streets of America -- instead of being deported after serving their time -- are being rearrested as many as six more times by U.S. authorities, according to a government audit released yesterday.

But the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General said it did not know how many of 262,105 illegals in the audit, who had been charged with a crime and then released, had been rearrested.

Agreement Allows Social Security For Non-Citizens

TAXES / 2004 TOTALIZATION AGREEMENT AUTHORIZES THOUSANDS OF NON-U.S. MEXICAN CITIZENS TO RECEIVE SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS

Congressman Ron Paul

Smiley Flag WaverUltimately, the bill for Mexicans working legally in the U.S. could reach one billion dollars by 2050, when the estimated Mexican beneficiaries could reach 300,000. Worse still, an estimated five million Mexicans working illegally in the United States could be eligible for the program. According to press reports, a provision in the Social Security Act allows illegal immigrants to receive Social Security benefits if the United States and another country have a totalization agreement.

Totalization Is A Bad Idea

January 8, 2007

Through a Freedom of Information Act Request, a private group recently obtained a copy of a 2004 agreement between the United States and Mexico that will allow hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to receive Social Security benefits.

The agreement creates a so-called "totalization" plan between the two nations. Totalization is nothing new. The first such agreements were made in the late 1970s between the United States and several foreign governments simply to make sure American citizens living abroad did not suffer from double taxation with respect to Social Security taxes. From there, however, totalization agreements have become vehicles for noncitizens to become eligible for U.S. Social Security benefits. The new agreement with Mexico would make an estimated 160,000 Mexican citizens eligible in the next five years.

Ultimately, the bill for Mexicans working legally in the U.S. could reach one billion dollars by 2050, when the estimated Mexican beneficiaries could reach 300,000. Worse still, an estimated five million Mexicans working illegally in the United States could be eligible for the program. According to press reports, a provision in the Social Security Act allows illegal immigrants to receive Social Security benefits if the United States and another country have a totalization agreement.

It's important to note that Congress, like the American people, heretofore had not seen this totalization agreement. This decision to expand our single largest entitlement program was made with no input from the legislative branch of government. If the president signs it, Congress will have to affirmatively act to override him and in essence veto the agreement. This is the opposite of how it's supposed to work.

There are obvious reasons to oppose a Social Security totalization agreement with Mexico. First, our Social Security system already faces trillions of dollars in future shortages as the Baby Boomer generation retires and fewer young workers pay into the system. Adding hundreds of thousand of noncitizens to the Social Security rolls can only hasten the day of reckoning.

Second, Social Security never was intended to serve as an individual foreign aid program for noncitizens abroad. Remember, there is no real Social Security trust fund, and the distinction between income taxes and payroll taxes is entirely artificial. The Social Security contributions made by noncitizens are spent immediately as general revenues. So while it's unfortunate that some are forced to pay into a system from which they might never receive a penny, the same can be said of younger American citizens. If noncitizens wish to obtain Social Security benefits, or any other U.S. government entitlements, they should seek to become U.S. citizens.

Also, totalization agreements allow noncitizens to quality for Social Security benefits by working in the U.S. as little as 18 months. A Mexican citizen could work here for only a year and a half, return to Mexico, and retire with full U.S. benefits. This is grossly unfair to Americans who must work more quarters even to qualify for benefits -- especially younger people who face the possibility that there may be nothing left when it is their turn to retire.

Those in favor of sending U.S. Social Security benefits to Mexican citizens argue that crushing poverty in Mexico demands some form of U.S. assistance to that country's aged. While poverty in Mexico truly is deplorable and saddening, the fact remains that Congress has no constitutional authority to enact what is essentially another foreign aid program.

Stop The Merger Of Canada, Mexico & The U.S.

AMERICA / BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S SECURITY & PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP (SPP) AGREEMENT MERGES THE GOVERNMENTS OF CANADA, MEXICO AND THE U.S.

Smiley Flag Waver1,000 pages on the SPP/North American Union clearly reveal that the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" with Mexico and Canada in which unelected bureaucrats are crafting a broad range of policy changes.

A "Myth vs. Fact" document posted for public relations purposes begins the "whitewash" in which they think they can hoodwink the American public. One of the ways the administration has been able to go around Congress is by not having the three countries sign a treaty or "law" on SPP. I want to know -- and the American public should demand -- where does the Bush administration get the congressional authorization to invite two foreign nations to the table to rewrite U.S. law?

November 18, 2006

I just returned from a week in Washington, D.C. with a group of concerned women where we learned about the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), also known as "The North American Union." This partnership was agreed upon at a private meeting held in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005, between then-President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, U.S. President George Bush, and then-Prime Minister Paul Martin of Canada. The SPP is an agreement to merge our United States of America with Mexico and Canada.

I am outraged about what the Bush administration is doing with this partnership behind Congress's back. (See http://www.spp.gov )

With virtually no mention in the mainstream media and no oversight from Congress, Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez is pushing forward, through his department, the "working groups" that are currently implementing this plan. Government bureaucrats and business leaders are "harmonizing and integrating" our laws with Mexico and Canada on a broad range of issues such as E-Commerce, Transportation, Environment, Health, Agriculture, Financial Services, and National Security just to mention a few. Do we want our laws "harmonized" with Socialist Canada and corrupt Mexico ?

If you are concerned about terrorism in our country just remember that enlarging our borders, merging our security functions with one of the most corrupt nations on earth ( Mexico ), and giving up sovereignty and constitutional protections does NOT make us safer.

Dr. Jerome Corsi, a Harvard Professor, who has spent months researching this issue was recently able through a Freedom of Information request to obtain about 1,000 pages on SPP/North American Union, which clearly reveal that the Bush administration is running a "shadow government" with Mexico and Canada in which unelected bureaucrats are crafting a broad range of policy changes.

The SPP is truly rewriting U.S. administrative law, all without Congressional oversight or public disclosure. The government watchdog organization, Judicial Watch, obtained many of the same documents that Dr. Corsi has received, including the organizational chart and a listing of trilateral Mexican, Canadian, and U.S. administrative officers who report on multiple cabinet-level "working groups."

The SPP.gov web site has now put up a "Myth vs. Fact" document posted for public relations purposes to begin the "whitewash" in which they think they can hoodwink the American public. One of the ways the administration has been able to go around Congress is by not having the three countries sign a treaty or "law" on SPP. I want to know -- and the American public should demand -- where does the Bush administration get the congressional authorization to invite two foreign nations to the table to rewrite U.S. law?

The Bush administration is trying to create the infrastructure for a new regional North American government in stealth fashion, under the radar and out of public view. Congress has unequivocally been asleep at the wheel.

It is incredible but, if this template is followed, just four years from now the United States may cease to exist as an independent nation. Its laws, rules and regulations -- including all freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution -- will be subject to review and nullification by the North American Union's governing body (unelected). There will no longer be a Canadian or Mexican border. Transnational transportation corridors will crisscross the United States delivering the cheapest goods possible from China and Vietnam with Mexican truckers who will work for a pittance of what our U.S. truckers earn. Thousands of middle-class jobs will be wiped out, and the U.S. will become nothing more than a province in an emerging North American superstate.

The American people have got to be alerted and we must contact our members of Congress to put a stop to this. Most Representatives and Senators are largely unaware of the SPP/North American Union. I am certain that an aroused and deeply concerned electorate would have little trouble gaining support to block what is planned and retain our nation's hard-won independence. Please help stop this insane move towards a North American Union.

"Today as you surely know, ... Mexico is little more than a narco-state, responsible for 92 percent of the cocaine sold in the U.S. in 2004 and wracked by warring drug cartels. Law enforcement officers on both sides of the border are increasingly attacked by paramilitary units, aka "Zetas", escorting drug shipments into the U.S. and reportedly offering a $50,000 bounty on Border Patrol agents and police officers." -- State Sen. America: A Noble Cause For Freedom

AMERICA / NOBLE CAUSE FOR FREEDOM

Devvy Kidd

Smiley Flag WaverI was reminded of the utter foolishness of the Anti-Defamation League's direct instigation and massive push to get Congress and states of the Union to pass "hate crime" laws. Of all people, Abraham Foxman and his colleagues should be the first to condemn such Nazism because that's exactly what "hate crime" laws are; I wouldn't be surprised to see the next push by the ADL being "thought crime" laws. It is exactly this type of suppression laws that allowed Adolph Hitler and his mad henchmen to take power in Germany. National ID under Department of Homeland Security? May as well be Department of Der Fuehrer's Motherland. Everything Hitler did was "according to the laws" of Germany at the time and the people walked right into the trap. First, by giving up their guns for the "good of the community," and second, by going along with silencing the people by bastardizing their existing laws - for the good of the Fatherland.

The voluntary National ID, which most Americans think is mandatory thanks to the lackeys in the media, must be challenged by the states straight to the U.S. Supreme Court.

THE POWER OF ONE

~ By: Devvy Kidd
December 11, 2006

"One man with courage makes a majority." So said President Andy Jackson, a true lion of his time.

One can also be a lonely number when a person feels overwhelmed by events. But, one can also be glorious and let me give you a few examples where one became so many.

Jodi Waters was one when she began blowing the whistle about the dangerous gas by-product called MTBE. During the seven year long battle to get MTBE banned, Jodi, as one, became hundreds of thousands. I know because I was a participant in that effort out in California - a huge state for such a grass roots effort on a shoe string budget. Jodi's efforts triumphed over the behemoth oil companies because one became hundreds of thousands of Americans all on the same sheet of facts and effective activism. We won.

When Bill Benson did his exhaustive research which uncovered the fraudulent ratification of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments, it started as a lonely mission in dusty basements of old state buildings. Then he was one. But, one became hundreds, then tens of thousands and then hundreds of thousands because his research documents obtained at the state archives was spread from one to another one to another one.

In two weeks, Christians around the world will celebrate the birth of Him, our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The one who had to die a horrible death so that we could be forgiven our sins in the eyes of God. Jesus was one. As has been said and written millions of times over the past two thousand plus years, this one man did not go to college, He didn't write books, He didn't own a house full of servants. He came into this world to deliver the word of God and to suffer our sins. One man changed the world forever because the ideas he brought to those who listened with their hearts became hundreds, then thousands, then millions and billions.

One is a powerful number.

There is one other person few know of by the name of Sophie Scholl who lived in Germany under Hitler and The Third Reich. She was involved in distributing The White Rose Leaflets. Her story is a powerful memorial to those throughout history who chose their conscience over cowardice. One student became two, two became ten and the numbers multiplied as did the message they sacrificed all to bring to fellow students. Sophie Scholl: The Final Days is a compelling movie that brings the power of one straight to the heart. There are no bare boobs, sex acts or the 'F' word in this spell binding recreation of what life was like under the Nazi regime, but it is a movie that will move you. I hope it will frighten many.

As I watched Sophie's story, I was reminded of the utter foolishness of the Anti-Defamation League's direct instigation and massive push to get Congress and states of the Union to pass "hate crime" laws.

I want you to watch Sophie Scholl: The Final Days some evening after the children are in bed and it's quiet. I want you to think about those innocents asleep in the next room and imagine living under an iron fist as the people of Germany did under Hitler: No free speech, forced National ID, no habeus corpus, kangaroo courts and instant execution. This movie will chill you to the bone and I hope will awaken one more American to the dark future facing US. Only those in selective denial are unaware of the eminent death of this republic. The fight by we the people that must be fought has to kick into over drive after the holidays or we will perish in the flames of totalitarian government. This is not a welcome message this time of year, but it is a necessary one.

The voluntary National ID, which most Americans think is mandatory thanks to the lackeys in the media, must be challenged by the states straight to the U.S. Supreme Court. The Patriot Act, the provisions of the Military Commissions Act and John Warner Defense Authorization Act - all must be nullified; that's just the short list. Active military and local law enforcement need to get the truth about the true agenda of the shadow government's "war on terrorism." Local law enforcement has been gradually morphing into para military organizations with an unhealthy attitude towards the common man. The invasion by Mexico must be stopped, NO amnesty, round up the illegals and get them deported or America is doomed as a nation and if you think I'm just blowing smoke on this one, I respectfully direct you to Frosty Wooldridge's continuing series on this issue.

The dominant media (Fourth Estate), both print and electronic (including cable), has become a worthless, pathetic institution. Today this so-called "mainstream" or dominant media apparatus is filled with nothing but sycophants, intellectually lazy robots and opportunists. As a collective body it worsens with time as truth is squashed by politics instead of sounding the alarm. What can one person do to get the truth out to our fellow Americans? As those courageous students did with the White Rose Leaflets and the colonials who birthed this republic so long ago, we can still use the power of the press by becoming the press. Certainly we have become that thanks to the Internet and personal computers, but it's not enough because tens of millions of Americans don't have PCs, they don't know where to look for credible information on line or because of work and family obligations, don't have time. These same Americans will catch some manufactured "news" in the evening on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC or FOX. Some will read a few stories from the local newspaper which is just the same regurgitated baloney pumped out by AP or Reuter's. No, what we need is an efficient, simple and inexpensive method for one to become thousands and tens of thousands and millions.

I have a new section on my web site titled Flyers. The first couple are up with more to come. We the people can become like a local newspaper by printing a master of any of the flyers, making ten, twenty or a hundred copies and getting them out. So many Americans feel disenfranchised and beyond frustrated because they don't know what they can do to help; work, commute and family eating so many hours. Money is in short supply and getting shorter. Flyers are cheap and it doesn't take much effort. While my mom is 80 years old and can't do a lot in the way of activism, she will get 100 of each from me to drop off at the senior center. Mother wants to do this for the cause. She is one, but will reach 100. Newspapers throughout this country refuse to sound the alarm, but we the people can do it through flyers. Paper the country with the truth instead of communist propaganda on the editorial pages of America's "news" papers. Americans will read a well done flyer and begin to wonder why their local newspaper isn't exposing the truth. The colonials did it and they only had the most basic of printing presses. But, one pamphlet became two and multiplied so fast, the British couldn't stop them. Should we do less?

There's no charge for this service. I am happy to make these flyers available to everyone so that each one can become ten, a hundred, a thousand. Forget e-mails to Congress; they are buried in hundreds of thousands of them every month. Same thing with state legislators on a slightly smaller scale; remember many state legislatures are only in session the first few months of the year. Mail them a flyer; snail mail gets opened and read for distribution. I remember the scene towards the end of the movie, Braveheart, where the Princess of Wales visits William Wallace in the dungeon. She cries and tells him he will die unless he swears allegiance to Longshanks. Wallace replies that all men die, but not all men really live. Will we live on our knees or really live for the noble cause of freedom? Are we not a warrior class?

Never forget the power of one - you.

Republicans Abandon Conservative Base

Breaking News

Al D'Amato: McCain Will Be GOP Nominee

Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006

Former GOP Senator Al D'Amato said Republicans will "race to the center" in 2008 to make up for losses in the 2006 elections, and Sen. John McCain will be the man to lead them there.

D'Amato, appearing Thursday on Fox News Channel, said the Republican Party was hurt in the elections by the "morass" in Iraq and the ineffectiveness of a GOP-controlled Congress to pass meaningful legislation.

He also said President Bush was damaged by the appearance that he didn't do enough to help Hurricane Katrina victims, with the image of Bush "flying over" New Orleans in a helicopter viewed by Americans as showing he was "out of touch" with the tragedy.

D'Amato said McCain can help bring voters back to the party for the 2008 presidential elections.

"If we have someone who demonstrates strength and compassion, like a John McCain, if we stay away from issues which almost trivialize the political process, like gay marriage . . . that's nonsense. We shouldn't be about that."

D'Amato said Republicans may not favor McCain now, as some polls indicate, but he predicted that will change during the upcoming presidential campaign.

"If you have a McCain candidacy, you are going to capture the middle," D'Amato said. "We will have a more moderate Republican tone, tuition assistance, an immigration policy that deals with reality . . . and stay away from bashing gays."

"He's going to be the nominee," D'Amato said.

GOP Blames Constitution Party For Election Losses

POLITICS / DESPERATE REPUBLICANS -- IN NEED OF A COVER-UP SCAPEGOAT -- BLAME ELECTION 2006 LOSSES ON THE CONSTITUTION PARTY

Sierra Times

Sierra Times

Smiley Flag WaverThe potential losses to the Republican Party will be much higher in the 2008 presidential elections. If the Constitution Party continues to grow -- and it will, directly proportional to how far the Republican Party continues to move to the Left -- then the Constitution Party will take away not only votes, but also contributors, from the GOP. The Big Two political parties are full of people who earn their daily bread from politics: not only elected officials, but also staffers, administrators, analysts, and ... yes, operatives.

Has the GOP membership lost its collective mind for continuing to follow along? Either way, it is painfully obvious that the GOP is no longer the party of true conservatives. Thus, its members have only two choices: "go along" and become more liberal themselves, or "jump ship" to another party that is more conservative.

But, if there is a national party that is more conservative (and there is), then that leaves the Republican Party in the middle.

The GOP Blame Game: It'll Get Worse By 2008

~ Tom Kovach

The trouble has started already. And, if it has started this early, then I expect the Republican Party to behave even worse by the time the 2008 presidential election season heats up to near boiling.

In the recent election, the Republican Party got spanked. They lost control of both houses of Congress, plus several state legislatures, despite having had a fairly comfortable margin before the election. Now, instead of admitting that their own policies and methods caused them to lose the elections, the GOP is looking for a scapegoat.

Who will the Republican leaders blame for their losses?
  • Will it be the Congressional Page sex scandal of disgraced former representative Tom Foley?
  • Will it be the poor timing of the resignation of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld? Will it be the news of the "Security and Prosperity Partnership" (which is anything but any of those words!)?
  • Will it be the government's arrest, prosecution, conviction, and imprisonment of two Border Patrol agents for doing exactly what the public expects all of them to do?
  • Will it be the point that the citizenry is finally waking up to the fact that President Bush invaded two countries without a formal declaration of war? ("Enforcing UN sanctions" does not meet the standard of our Constitution!)
  • Will it be the failure of the Republican Party, despite the control of both houses of Congress and the White House, to prevent the RU-486 abortion pill from getting into American drug stores?
The answer is a firm and resounding "no!" to all of the above.

Instead, they are blaming the Constitution Party.

The blog linked above is far from the only one spewing venom toward the one nationally recognized political party that is openly to the Right of the GOP on the political spectrum. For example, this blog displays amazing ill-logic. It simultaneously chides the Constitution Party, saying that it, " ... actually does more harm to Christianity, as it does to Republicanism, than it does to help, ... " and of having " ... the power of testimony which, granted, potentially can be positive." The author of that blog tries -- as do certain foolish talk-radio hosts -- to give the appearance of wisdom by being on both sides of the fence. The author accuses the Constitution Party of being "factious," while stirring up that condition himself by the epithets and arguments that he has chosen. Example: "They are wise in their positions. They are stupid in their place in politics ... and in their testimony." In other words, we that refuse to compromise should "know our place." And, in a single sentence, he attacks both our politics and our Christianity -- even though the author claims to be a Christian himself. Sounds like desperation to me.

I expect it to get worse, because the potential losses to the Republican Party will be much higher in the 2008 presidential elections. (Did you see the surveillance photos that Bob Corker and Harold Ford had on each other? It reminded me of "Spy vs. Spy" from Mad magazine!) The bottom line is that those people -- part of what I call "the hidden aristocracy in America" -- would need to go out and actually get a job if the Republicans fall from power.

And, when I saw "fall from power," I don't mean simply losing the majority. (They just did that, but still have power.) Here is the ugly secret: the Democrats know how to build coalitions, but the Republicans refuse to learn! (For even more details, click here.) Now, don't get me wrong. I do not like the goals of the Democrats, nor of their partners. (This year, the Communist Party encouraged its members to vote for Democrats, and not to even run their own candidates!) What I do admire about the Left is their willingness to work together. But, we on the Right cannot do that as long as the Republican Party -- while continuing to drift toward the Left -- pretends that it is the only conservative party in America. The GOP has the audacity to refer to the Constitution Party as the "spoiler." But, one can only be the spoiler if one is in the middle.

For example, in 1994, Bob Moppert -- a pro-abortion Republican -- lost the election for the 26th District of N.Y. because I was the only anti-abortion candidate. Moppert lost by 1,241 votes; I got 4,529 votes. Moppert, the compromiser, was in the middle. Thus, he was the spoiler. But, all that "the elephant" will choose to remember is that "Tom Kovach cost the Republicans the election." They will not even consider that their big-money, compromising candidate cost himself the election by trying to be Democrat Lite. And, as we saw with the 2006 elections, the elephant has a long memory, and is not prone to forgiveness.

So, as both the small example (my 1994 campaign), and the large example (the nationwide spanking of the Republicans this year) both prove, the Republican Party continues to drift toward the Left, while simultaneously continuing to claim that they are the only hope of the Right. Has their leadership lost its collective mind? Or, has the GOP membership lost its collective mind for continuing to follow along? Either way, it is painfully obvious that the GOP is no longer the party of true conservatives. Thus, its members have only two choices: "go along" and become more liberal themselves, or "jump ship" to another party that is more conservative.

But, if there is a national party that is more conservative (and there is), then that leaves the Republican Party in the middle.

The above statement is much more than political hair-splitting or name-calling. There is a tectonic shift in not only the balance of power in Congress, but in how we define power in Congress, hidden beneath that statement. You see, our Congress is structured around committees that are led by majority party chairmen, but with minority party input. If there is a third party, and if that party is stuck in the middle, then it has neither of those positions of power. It is left out to pasture.

During the heyday of the Republicans during the mid-1990s, they had no problem with the Constitution Party. Why? Because they were hoping that, if the Constitution Party grew and won, then any Constitution Party member elected to Congress would become a one-person minority. And, with the Republicans in the majority, that would put the Democrats out to pasture.

But, even with the possibility of effectively hamstringing the Democrats, the GOP didn't do anything the help the Constitution Party grow. They just didn't do anything to hurt the Constitution Party, either. The GOP had a wonderful opportunity to build a strong conservative coalition, but that wasn't good enough -- they want it all. Now that the Democrats are in the majority, though, it seems that the GOP is wasting no time in trying to make a scapegoat out of the Constitution Party. Personally, I think that such a strategy will backfire, and the Republicans will lose far more members than if they had kept their mouth shut.

Regardless of which of the Big Two is in the majority, the cat is now out of the bag. There are only eight nationally-recognized political parties. Chances are that another one could not be organized before the 2008 election cycle. So, as I've written before, multi-party politics is here to stay. And, the politics of compromise must give way to the politics of coalitions. Political beliefs are not either-or, they are aligned along a spectrum. Multiple parties give people an opportunity to join the group that most closely represents their position along that spectrum. Of course, multi-party politics would also require votes to think more, because it's not just "A or B" anymore.

Abused Becomes Abuser??

Here is the real irony of the Republican Party's current angst over the sudden growth of the Constitution Party. The GOP claims that any "third party" is a "spoiler." (The correct term is "smaller party," because only one party can be third) They try to maintain a myth that America has, and always did have, only a two-party system. But, that is not true. And, back in 1854, when a small group of anti-slavery activists got together in the Ripon Schoolhouse and founded a new political party, the Republicans were the fourth party involved in the slavery argument alone! (The others were the Whigs, the Democrats, and the Free Soil Party.) So, by the standard that they now proclaim, the Republican Party should never have been allowed on the ballot in the first place, because it would have disrupted the "two-party system" of their day! Ask some elephant how he likes those peanuts!

The Constitution Party got its start in 1992 as the U.S. Taxpayers Party. By 1994, the Republicans should have seen a golden opportunity to build a powerful conservative coalition. But, they either ignored or eschewed that opportunity. Now, the Republican Party -- by its own choice, via their leadership -- has become almost unrecognizable as a conservative organization. The proof is that, rather than try to woo conservatives back into the GOP by returning to the Right, the GOP tries to brand those conservatives as "traitors" or "spoilers." Well, 'ya know, with friends like that ...

Conservatives can no longer "fix" the Republican Party. They can either "loyally" ride it into the iceberg, or they can board the rescue ship. The Republicans are busy playing the blame game -- as though the crew of the Carpathia (which rescued scores of passengers) was somehow to blame for the captain driving the Titanic into the iceberg. So, even after being spanked by its own membership, the Republican Party is acting like the rebellious little toddler that says, "That didn't hurt." They are also acting like the prisoner that blames the police officer for his incarceration, instead of accepting responsibility for his own misdeeds. Sophisticated voters will not stick around to listen to the Republican blame game while the conservative Titanic sinks.

Here, let me throw you a safety line.
